SS068B SS Soldier Crouched Down – No Base
An SS soldier crouched down, peers cautiously round a corner/vehicle with pistol held in his hand.
The 12th SS Panzer Division “Hitlerjugend” was a German armoured division which formed part of the elite Waffen-SS during World War II. The majority of its junior enlisted men were drawn from members of the Hitler-Youth ranging from 16 to 18 years old. The 12th SS saw its baptism of fire at the Normandy landings and although it acquitted itself well, suffered nearly 80% casualties by the end of the campaign. As these are boys in arms, the figure size is slightly smaller than normal to reflect the junior age of these soldiers.
