About Us
Tim Tyler has had a passion for military history for more than forty years. An avid Civil War re-enactor and a serious collector of militaria, he has directed that passion into a business. Troops of Time opened in the fall of 2001 in the Historic Riverside neighborhood of Jacksonville, Florida. The gallery is showcased in a renovated home that was built in 1905. Tim wanted a place where people can feel at home while browsing the displays of toy soldiers, military art, authentic documents and photographs.
